(and probably PC) that is going to be released this fall, just in time
for the holidays. The new touchscreen VAIOs are going to support Windows
7 and the certain things that will be native with the operating
system, while thanks to a partnership with Playstation it should be able
to deliver movies, TV and some say, even games.
A move that would bring Sony in front of many, the company's new
touchscreen VAIOs are supposed to add to the ease of use, hence your
whole productivity. Whether this will come on a Sony Vaio notebook like
the Vaio P model or the Vaio W Netbook remains to be seen.
There are certain things that will be native on Windows 7 that we are
certainly going to take advantage of. Without giving too much away, we
think touch on Windows 7 is something we find compelling and we will
certainly introduce touch into some of our products at the launch of Win
7. You will see touch capabilities introduced on Vaio products that take
advantage of Windows 7, said Sony executive Mike Abary.
Other than touchscreen VAIO's, Abary also talked about NVIDIA's Ion
graphics and system platform for ultraportable devices — which he
finds interesting , but not a revolution.
