AT&T Samsung Omnia II GT-i8000 Clears From the FCC Omnia II GT-i8000 Ready to be Released on Rogers, Too

Word is that the dualband 850/1900MHz 3G HSDPA/HSUPA version of Samsung
Omnia II GT-i8000 has just cleared FCC and is ready to be released under
AT T in the US and on Rogers in Canada. The tempting little handset
comes with a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED resistive touchscreen (480 x 800),
will pack either 8 or 16GB of memory and an impressive 5-megapixel
camera that comes with autofocus, dual LED flash, geotagging, face/smile
detection, digital image stabilization and 15fps video recording.

The North American version of the Samsung Omnia 2 GT-i8000 has an 800
MHz processor under the hood, runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional
with TouchWiz 2.0 UI and 3D effects, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP,
microUSB port, microSD slot (up to 32GB) standard 3.5mm audio jack, GPS
receiver with A-GPS and an accelerometer. Along the same lines there's
also DivX/XviD video support, FM radio with RDS and a 1500 mAh battery
that is expect to last long enough.

Too bad that both AT T and Rogers Canada failed to confirm with us if
they'll bring Samsung Omnia II GT-i8000 to their stores.

Meanwhile here's a video showcasing the device …
