the younger brother of the N97 will be available for purchase, starting
from October 23. While the nomenclature makes it clear that the N97 Mini
will play second fiddle to its bigger brother, the handset which packs a
smaller display in a more compact body, is no lightweight either.
The smartphone comes with a 3.2-inch tilting resistive touchscreen
display, full QWERTY keyboard, 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and
Nokia s latest version of the touch friendly S60. On top of these all,
there s also 8GB of built-in memory — which isย a massive drop
compared to the 32 GB on the N97, and there s also a microSD card slot
to expand that.
Nokia N97 Mini comes with a widget based homescreen display, and its
compactness may be a fair deal for someone looking for a slightly
different taste of the N97 smartphone. The new N97 Mini will sell at
โEUR450 (some $639 at today's rate), but keep in mind that it's a
pre-subsidies price so users going for a contract may get it cheaper.
