smartphone to the market. Dubbed HTC Leo, the mobile sports the stylish
TouchFLO 3D 2.5 Manilla ROM user interface, comes with a full-QWERTY
keypad (which looks generous), an external QVGA display and an internal
16:9 WVGA display with an 800×480 resolution.
Other than that, the rumor has it that the new HTC Leo is expected to
boast support for OpenGL 2.0 like the iPhone 3GS, would pack a 1GHz
Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and should run on Windows Mobile. A follow
up to the HTC Universal and much like the HTC Omni, given the size of
the new HTC Leo looks more like a MID (mobile Internet device) than a
smartphone.
Although HTC may be planning to return to the clamshell shape with the
Leo, we don't have a release date or any official specifications
regarding the new mobile, so we'd much rather take it with a pinch of
salt rather than being disillusioned.
