times of economic melt-down (we won't mention the R word) Vertu have
decided to appeal to those less effected by the big crunch in releasing
a new Ascent Ti luxury cell phone in the form of the somewhat pompously
named Vertu Ascent Ti Damascus Steel.
Billed as sporting a casing that employs an 'ancient steel forging
method' or, rather more impressively, the same method as was/is used to
craft Samurai swords/Damascus sword blades, the GSM/UMTS Vertu Ascent Ti
Damascus Steel luxury cell phone comes with a 240 x 320 resolution
(QVGA) display, somewhat less impressive 3.2 megapixel camera with LED
flash, 4GB of built-in memory and , if you're wanting to get your hands
on one, you'll need to be quick as apparently only 100 units will see it
into production.
Vertu are yet to confirm how much the Vertu Ascent Ti Damascus Steel
will set you back (or when it'll ship) but its safe to say that,
concerning the price, if you have to ask…
