that it comes sans onboard control/buttons and sans standard headphone
compatibility (whilst retaining some sense of control) then you're
either a) a fool for buying an iPod Shuffle 3G in the first place or b)
in need of the newly announced Scosche tapSTICK for Apple's iPod Shuffle
3G - though it could, of course, be both.
In essence, the Scosche tapSTICK for iPod Shuffle 3G is a pretty basic
affair offering basic functionally for those that simply cannot live
with the iPod Shuffle 3G's in-line control system and who are prepared
to pay for the privilege of having bigger buttons to play with whist
making your brand spanking new Shuffle 3G, with its elegant, sleek,
minimalist design, look, for want of a better word, crap. Yes, basically
you slot your trusty Shuffle 3G into the Scosche tapSTICK and, hey
presto, you have three grey, dull, unimaginative and frankly insipid
buttons to depress at your leisure meaning you can plug in standard
headphones (via a connector on the tapSTICK) and not be left completely
high and dry as far as controlling your 'Pod is concerned.
It's a moderately reasonable idea dressed up in a dull package and
you'll pay circa $30 for the privilege. What's not to like?
