press releases that offer so little detail concerning a product that one
wonders why they bothered and, though we love iRiver to death,
unfortunately this is very much the case when it comes to their newly
announced iRiver A100 Bluetooth Headset.
Okay, to be fair, there is at least some information in iRiver's press
release, but this can pretty much be distilled into the following: their
up and coming iRiver A100 Bluetooth Headset supports Bluetooth Profile
2.0 and it offers a range of up to 33ft.
Failing that, and the fact that it appears to be set for the Chinese
market (iRiver helpfully remind us that there are over 300 million cell
phone users in said market) there's nothing by way of detail concerning
noise cancelling capabilities (we assume it has none), battery life,
availability or pricing.
Based on what little we know, however, assuming that iRiver are not
cunningly holding back on some serious killer features, the iRiver A100
Bluetooth Headset looks like it'll hardy cause sleepless nights to those
at Motorola or Aliph.
