Sony CMT-LX30iR iPod/iPhone Micro Audio System

Sony have unveiled there latest somewhat entry level iPod/iPhone Micro
audio System in the form of the CMT-LX30iR which, apart from sporting
rather insipid, wholly uninspiring styling (perhaps you like it, we just
think it looks inexorably dull) comes iPod, iPod Touch and iPhone dock,
an AM/FM tuner, CD player and, of particular note, a USB port allowing
not only audio files to be played directly from USB flash drives but
also supporting CD to USB sync recording.

In terms of overall specifications, whilst not incapable, the Sony
CMT-LX30iR iPod/iPhone Micro Audio System is hardly going to occasion an
excitement based coronary with an output of a mere (particularly
neighbour friendly) 2 x 5W and all the usual suspects in terms of preset
equalizer settings (rock, pop, jazz, flat). Oh, and it also boasts a
diminutive backlit LCD display that almost looks like some sort of
afterthought.

Doesn't do it for us, we must confess, but considering the low price
point - the Sony CMT-LX30iR will set you back around $150-$200 - its
offers just about everything you'd expect for the minimal outlay.
