Panasonic DMP-BV100 Portable Blu-ray/DVD Player & Digital TV

Quite possibly the ultimate in portable, video based entertainment
(excluding handheld video gaming systems, of course) the new Panasonic
DMP-BV100 Portable Blu-ray/DVD Player not only offers Blu-ray movie
viewing and BD Live functionality in a decidedly compact package - just
as in the US variant, the Panasonic DMP-B15, which was announced back in
January and is due to start shipping in May - but also packs in a
digital TV tuner and 1Seg tuner.

Designed to provide the ultimate high definition Blu-ray experience for
those on the go, the Panasonic DMP-BV100 Portable Blu-ray/DVD Player,
which supports DLNA, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA, sports a 8.9
1024×600 resolution display - though those wishing to output from
the device will be glad to know that a HDMI out is included (allowing
for 1080i viewing of Blu-ray based content from the DMP-BV100 on HDTVs)
- as well as an integrated SD card reader allowing for the playback of
videos saved to SD cards as well as digital photo slideshows with or
without music.

The Panasonic DMP-BV100 Portable Blu-ray/DVD Player, which offers up to
two and a half hours of endurance based on a seven hour full charge, is
set to become available from 15 March in Japan and will retail for
around the equivalent of $1,070.
