(we count ourselves amongst you) who happen to own an iPod will
doubtless be thrilled to know that you can now pay homage to the might
Lego building brick whilst listening to your MP3 collection thanks to
this Block Speaker Dock iPod docking station that, incidentally, appears
to come from the strictly unofficial angle 9we say that in case you're a
purist).
The Block Speaker Dock, which measures in at 24 x 9 x 4.7cm, comes with
Active Bass System promising 'superior sound quality' (though it's
notable that output is unspecified), and is compatible with the iPod
Nano 1st, 2nd and 3rd generations, iPod 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and
Classic, iPod Touch 1st generation and the iPod Shuffle and additionally
comes with a line-in jack to connect other AV devices such as CD players
and non-Apple DAPs.
The Lego inspired Block Speaker Dock iPod docking station appears to be
battery powered (3xAA) though the product page also states that it can
be charged via a 12V adapter (not supplied) which indicates that the
dock has its own internal rechargeable batteries, though we're fairly
sure it most probably doesn't. All a bit confusing.
The Block Speaker Dock has just become available and will set you back
just shy of 40GBP (for some undisclosed reason it is listed as 'Not for
USA').
