VS. The G-Fi is essentially a router that unusually does not offer
internet connectivity; instead it captures satellite signals and passes
on GPS signals to any connected Wi-Fi device in the vicinity.
The G-Fi enables the creation of a wireless LAN consisting of up to 254
computers and devices. The G-Fi also serves as a neat tracking device.
With a range of 100 feet, it is of use in tracking your child in a
crowded place or your car in a crowded parking lot.
The G-Fi has the following dimensions - 3.08' x 2.91' 0.69'. It weighs
around 2.5 ounces and its portability makes it ideal for travelers who
wish to track their location via their Wi-Fi enabled devices. A single
charge keeps the device operational for up to 4 hours. An adapter is
included with the device; the G-Fi can also be charged via a computer's
USB port. The G-Fi is available for $179.
The G-F VS is similar to the G-Fi except that it does not feature GPS.
It acts as a wireless router ideal for mobile gamers. The company is
pitching the G-F VS as a Wi-Fi gaming hub for iPhone gamers. The G-F VS
is available for $149.
