of four new models - specifically the HP Mini 1133CL, 1135NR, 1140NR and
1141NR - and, whilst there's nothing that particularly stands out (yes,
they're atom N270 powered, yes they come with 1GB RAM') its interesting
to note that they also come with integrated ExpressCard/45 cards.
Apart from built-in ExpressCard/45 cards, the new HP Mini 1100 netbook
range is pretty much as expected, with the aforementioned N270 CPUs and
1GB RAM as well as 60GB 4200rpm HDDs, 10.1' WSVGA (1024 x 576
resolution) LCDInfinity BrightView LED displays, onboard Intel Graphics
Media Accelerator 950 GPUs, integrated 10/100 Ethernet LAN and 802.11b/g
WLAN as well as 2-in-1 card readers and 92% full size 84 key keyboards.
Differences between the new HP Mini 1100 models appears to be limited to
the 1135NR and 1140NR variants offering Bluetooth connectivity whilst
the 1141NR comes bundled with a HP WebCam (as with the others) and a
Vivienne Tam sleeve.
As yet HP have not, however, specified either unit pricing concerning
its new Mini 1100 netbooks or offer up and information concerning
availability dates.
