Garmin Zūmo 660 GPS offers Sat Nav for Bikers Ruggedized & Waterproof

Garmin have introduced a new Sat Nav unit catering specifically for
bikers in the form of the Garmin mo 660 GPS which, apart from offering a
4.3' 'sunlight readable' touchscreen has been designed to withstand the
elements as well as offering increased durability (to IEC 529 IPX-7
standards) and larger buttons allowing for ease of control whilst
wearing gloves.

The Garmin mo 660 GPS, which is based on the Garmin Nuvi, offers voice
prompted directions either via the unit's integrated speaker or courtesy
of A2DP Bluetooth to a compatible Bluetooth equipped helmet (the
Bluetooth connectivity additionally also allowing you to have handsfree
calls) and comes pre-loaded with street maps of the US, Canada and
Puerto Rico complete with over six million points of interest such as
gas stations, eateries and attractions.

'The zลซmo can change your entire experience of touring or everyday
rides because it helps you find amazing places to explore,' said Dan
Bartel, Garmin's vice president of worldwide sales. 'Whether you're
charting your own course or you plan your trip from your computer and
download the route to your GPS beforehand, your ride will be more
enjoyable and stress-free because you'll have peace of mind knowing the
zลซmo will help you find your way home.'

The Garmin mo 660 GPS is expected to begin shipping as of the first
quarter of '09 and will retail for just shy of a fairly hefty $800.
