connectivity when *BAM* here is another similar (perhaps even fancier)
model by the acclaimed technology experts - Sony. Sony have just
unveiled their long awaited offering - Vaio CP1 Wi-Fi Photo Frame.When I
mention 'fancy' you can almost immediately see why, what with the Vaio
CP1 Wi-Fi photo frame's sleek and modern design glinting before your
very eyes. Looks are not everything though so let us look at some
fervently expected specs!
The Vaio CP1 Wi-Fi photo frame is packed with built-in wireless
technology and is able to connect to a Vaio Pc and, using Wi-Fi, stream
images directly. If you thought that was 1 up on other makes of Digital
Photo Frames then you'll be surprised that you can connect directly to
Google Picasa (Yes, Google is taking over the world!) and view up to 4
web albums at the same time! Even better, you can use your Vaio CP1
Wi-Fi photo frame to upload your PC photos directly to Picasa. It's like
a digital photo frame and web tablet?
Our other digital photo frame offering was also able to connect to the
internet and update you with pertinent info and the Vaio CP1 Wi-Fi photo
frame is no different. In fact, we're taken a step up once again as the
frame has a built-in RSS feeder keeping us up to date with headlines,
entertainment news and anything newsworthy! You can also stream internet
radio in real time!
Is there anything this sensational invention doesn't do?
Well, so far I cannot find any faults whatsoever, however, I would be
lying if I didn't suggest a bigger screen. The Vaio CP1 Wi-Fi photo
frame comes standard with a 7 inch (800 x 480) LCD display and while
this is big by any other digital frame's terms, I just feel that a
gorgeous piece of technology like this, deserves more spotlight so to speak!
You might also find the internal memory of 128Mb a little tough to
swallow but that's because you didn't realize the slots baby!!! Yes,
this little gadget comes complete with slots for a variety of 'external
media' such as SD/MMC memory cards and CompactFlash media cards.
What with me babbling on in each new paragraph, extolling the virtues of
this delightful C1 offering, you are probably waiting for more aren't
you? Well, let's just say the rest is up to you to test, so hold on to
your seats for this October offering and feel free to come back and
comment when you've test driven this piece of work!
