Samsung Pixon (Samsung Bresson) Touch Screen Specifications Officially Revealed

Samsung had unveiled the specifications of its new, up and coming touch
screen camera cell phone, the Samsung Pixon (rumoured to be known as the
Bresson in the UK - though this has not been confirmed as yet so should
be treated as mere speculation at this stage). The Samsung Pixon, the
launch of which will see the involvement of professional photographer
Nick Turpin, comes, most notably, with an 8 megapixel camera complete
with auto focus, 16x zoom, dual LED flash, Advanced Shake Reduction
(ASR), smile shot and face detection which places it as a firm
competitor to LG's KC910 camera phone which, incidentally, also boasts 8
megapixel resolution capture capabilities.Additionally, the Pixon, which
comes in at a mere 13.8mm in thickness, also supports geo-tagging and
can capture video footage at up to a not unimpressive 120 frames a
second whilst, away from the Pixon's obvious photographic capabilities,
the quad-band GSM/EDGE Pixon comes with a 3.2' touch screen, virtual 5.1
channel surround sound (SRS) and HSDPA (offering up to 7.2 Mbps data
transfer at 2100MHz) and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity whilst, along with a
media player you'll get an integrated FM tuner with RDS and TV-out
support - allowing you to view captured imagery and video footage
directly on your TV.

No news at the time of writing concerning the Samsung Pixon's pricing
but we appear to be looking at a shipping date sometime in or around
October (we'll keep you posted the moment further details are available,
of course)
