Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition Gets Official Nokia Announces 2710 Navigation Edition Phone

The Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition is not the smartphone you are waiting
for the Finish mobile manufacturer to launch. Instead, it s a simple
candybar phone that s capable to help you find your way no matter where
you are. Nokia has made it official and we have just the specs and
features your were looking for.The phone comes with GPS support and
Nokia Maps so in case you do get lost while you re travelling the
handset could definitely get you back on track. The phone will not
surprise you with any spectacular features as it
comes only with a 2.2-inch QVGA display, a 3.5mm headset jack,
Bluetooth 2.1, stereo FM radio with RDS, 2-megapixel camera and an
included 2GB card in the box.
According to Nokia the new 2710 Navigation Edition is the company s
most affordable Nokia Maps loaded, GPS-enabled phone. Nokia expects
the phone to be popular both in developed and in developing countries as
the phone has been conceived for urban environments, small towns, as
well as rural areas in mind.
If you already like the phone then you won t be happy to hear that the
2710 Navigation Edition is not going to be available in time for
Christmas. The phone is expected to arrive at some point in the second
quarter of 2010 and it s going to cost โEUR110 or around $165. Although
it sounds a bit too expensive for its capabilities, the handset is
coming together with a car holder and a car charger which means you
should have no problem mounting it in your car.
So what do you say? Would you get a GPS-enabled Symbian phone? Or would
you rather go for an Android or iPhone instead? Symbian isn t too hot
right now so I ll totally understand if you d rather choose something
from the competition to satisfy your GPS needs.
