Sony Vaio X Ultraportable Specs and Prices Leak Vaio X Series Official Announcement Expected Tomorrow, Brings 2.0GHz Atom Z550 CPU?

Last month at the IFA in Berlin, Sony has managed to get everyone
stunned with their stylish half-inch thick Vaio X ultraportable.
Although the company is expected to go forward with the official
announcement tomorrow, our good ninja friends from BoyGeniusReport have
managed to get their hands on leaked specs and pricing information for
the super slim piece of technology.

If true, the new Sony Vaio X is going to rake the title for the world s
lightest notebook at only 1.6 pounds, thanks to its carbon-fiber
chassis. The Vaio X comes with an 11.1-inch LED backlit 16:9 aspect
ratio display, a multi-touch trackpad that allows you to rotate items,
zoom in and zoom out, a solid state drive (SDD), a standard battery good
for 3.5 hours and also a super-extended battery that should last for
an unbelievable 14 hours.

A pretty powerful configuration, the Vaio X series is going to run on a
2.0GHz Atom Z550 processor (still a rumor) and should be delivered with
Windows 7 Home Premium. Price wise, the stylish ultraportable should
cost just shy of $1,499, with Canada getting it next month and the US at
the same time or maybe (we sure hope so) before.
