PlayStation 3 Slim is catching up fast. If Nintendo wants to keep
staying atop the gaming business then it should be ready to launch new
products soon. Let s not forget that both Microsoft and Sony are going
to add motion control to their consoles, at which point Nintendo could
use their edge.
Although we d like to see a new Wii console hit the stores soon we don t
have such news for you today. Instead, Nintendo will launch a new Wii
Remote Controller and a new Nunchuck Controller on November 16. You re
probably hoping for some updated controllers ready to deliver extra
features to your motion controlled game play, right? Well in that case
you will be disappointed to hear that the only thing Nintendo has
changed is the color of the new controllers. Does color matter so much?
Will you stop playing Wii games if the controllers will not be available
in your favorite color?
Both the Wii Remote and the Nunchuck will be available in black starting
with November 16. Nintendo has officially unveiled pictures of both
packages for the new devices. The black Wii Remote will be come bundled
with a black MotionPlus accessory and the package will sell for $49.99
while the black Nunchuck controller will be available separately for
just $19.99.
Just a few days ago we showed you the Blaze PS3 Motion Freedom 3D
Controller. The PS3 controller created by Blaze is obviously based on
the Wiimote and it also comes in black. Do these black Wiimotes and
Nunchucks represent Nintendo s response to the Blaze controllers?
Not happy with black? Nintendo hasn t announced any other colors for now
so the Wii universe is going to be painted in black and white only. Sure
there are various modders that will gladly paint the Wii and its
controllers in more lively colors for you but that s going to cost you
extra cash. Again, does color matters that much?
