New Kindle (Kindle International) Release & Pricing Confirmed Kindle Price Drops, Gains Worldwide Rollout

By way of a brief heads up for those of you who are non-US based but who
have been itching to get their hands on Amazon s Kindle E-Reader as
amazon have now confirmed the release date and pricing concerning their
new Kindle, known as the Kindle International.
Being that the Kindle has seen such wide coverage we suspect that few
are not wholly familiar with what the Kindle is and what it brings to
the table, however, with respect to the Kindle International the device,
which measures in at 8 � x 5.3 � x 0.36 �, comes with a 6 � E-Ink 600 x
800 resolution display, integrated 3G wireless connectivity " which can
see you download entire books in as little as 60 seconds without PC
intervention – and enough capacity (specifically 2GB of which
1.4GB is up for storing user content) to hold up to 1,500 books which
should see even the most avid reader occupied for a considerable while
with supported formats taking in Kindle (AZW), TXT, Audible (Audible
Enhanced (AA, AAX)), MP3, unprotected MOBI, PRC natively; PDF, HTML,
DOC, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP (the latter via conversion).
The International Kindle, which is set to commence shipping as of
October 19, and which is already up for pre-order, will set you back the
equivalent of $279 whilst the same sized 6 � US Kindle comes in at $259
with the larger 8.7 � Kindle, which also comes with additional storage
capacity, set to retail at $489.
