Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin knows a thing or two about building
watches. Renowned for their marine-inspired timepieces, Ulysse Nardin is
now paying homage to the Principality of Monaco with the new Monaco YS
watch.
Part of the company's Marine Diver collection, the exquisite chronograph
brings back the old times when people were struggling to conquer the
oceans. The watch comes with a black DLC (diamond-like-carbon) treated
stainless steel case and features a wave-patterned black dial with dark
grey luminous indexes and red sub-dial hands. There's also a scratch
resistant glass, a black ceramic folding clasp and a stylish rubber
strap to add to the whole aesthetic feel.
On top of that, the new Ulysse Nardin Monaco YS should be available with
a Swiss self-winding movement, a power reserve indicator, an oversized
small seconds register, an unidirectional rotating bezel and a diving
scale in case you're trying to charm some fish — since it's water
resistant to 200m, too.
Individually numbered and with only 100 pieces to ever see daylight, I
guess there's no reason to ask how much this beauty is going to sell
for. It looks way out of our league …
