T-Mobile Pulse Android Smartphone Now Available T-Mobileโ€ s First Android 'Pay As You Go' Phone Released

Following up from our initial heads up back in September concerning the
mid-range Android powered T-Mobile Pulse smartphone we can now advise
that the T-Mobile Pulse, which has the distinction of being T-Mobile s
first Android smartphone to be offered on a pay as you go basis, has
now hit T-Mobile stores in the UK.
The 3G T-Mobile Pulse is, as indicated above, a mid-range smartphone
(hence its availability on pay as you go) and comes with a 3.5 320 x
180 resolution 65K color capacitive touchscreen complete with
multi-touch functionality, an accelerometer to allow for auto screen
orientation, a trackball for hassle free menu browsing, integrated
a-GPS, a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera (listed as being 5MP elsewhere,
interestingly) capable of capturing stills and video and, of course,
integrated audio and video player whilst, in terms of additional
connectivity, both Bluetooth (v2.0 with A2DP) and WiFi (802.11b/g) are
in evidence. There s no infrared port (who cares?) but you do get an
onboard USB port for hooking up the T-Mobile Pulse to PCs and the like.
Naturally, in being a smartphone, you can additionally count on
SMS(threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Email, IM being wholly represented
as well as a HTML web browser and, in running Google s OS, of course you
ll get all the usual Google extras thrown in for good measure.

The T-Mobile Pulse Android smartphone is available from T-Mobile in the
UK as of now and will set you back from pound sterling27.50 based on an
18 month contract or, if you re looking to opt for PAYG, you ll need to
splash out just over pound sterling176.
