HTC Leo — also known as HTC HD2 in Europe, has just been confirmed
in an O2 catalog. Although no official word from the carrier, the
handset, which is supposed to be the world's first Windows Mobile device
to feature a capacitive touchscreen and a multi-touch input, is to be
released next month
The O2 catalog the HTC Leo posed for, mentions a standard Windows Mobile
6.5 interface instead of the TouchFLO 3D UI that HTC has gotten us used
with. We're not sure if the WinMo 6.5 is just a particularity for the
European debut on O2, or if HTC HD II will actually make it to the
market without TouchFlo, what what we know is that it features a fast
and powerful 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, 320MB of RAM and a rather
large 4.3-inch display.
There's also a 5-megapixel camera, 3G network support, GPS and Wi-Fi
connectivity.
Other than a bunch of specs, the same brochure says the new HTC Leo will
actually be released on October 26 for an unknown price.
