Mamiya DM56 and DM33 DSLRs Announced Mamiya Digital SLR Cameras With 56MP and 33MP Sensors

Back in March, camera specialists from Mamiya have launched a medium
format digital camera dubbed DL33. This time around, the same folks from
Mamiya have caused some serious drooling in the office after announcing
two new medium format DSLR models to their lineup, the new Mamiya DM56
and the new Mamiya DM33.

Meant for the professional photographer, as you probably already
suspect, the new Mamiya DM56 comes with a 56 megapixel sensor, while
Mamiya DM33 features a 33 megapixel sensor. Bother cameras boast high
flash sync speeds of up to 1/6000 of a second, and allow you to choose
from a set of three new leaf-shutter digital lenses.

Speaking of lenses, the 55mm f/2.8 D L/S, the 80mm f/2.8 D L/S and the
110mm f/2.8 S L/S are all being produced by Mamiya together with
renowned manufacturer of industrial and photographic optics, Schneider
Kreuznach.

We don't have anything official regarding the cameras' availability, but
since the lenses will show up in stores in Q4, we're assuming both the
DM56 and the DM33 should hit shelves just in time for the holiday
season. As for the price they'll sell for, you may want to keep your
kidneys healthy as you'll probably have let go of one!
