KEF HTB2SE-W Wireless Subwoofer Release & Pricing Confirmed HFADPCM Wireless Technology, 250 Watt Class D Amplifier

If you re anything like me you have a pet hate of cables and this is
especially true when you re trying to hook up AV equipment in your front
room as the clutter of wires is hardly appealing but, thanks to KEF and
their new wireless HTB2SE-W Wireless Subwoofer, you can at least remove
one set of wiring from the equation should you be looking to add a new
subwoofer to your home theater set-up.
The result of combining two of their products, namely their HTB2
subwoofer and their Universal Wireless kit, the KEF HTB2SE-W Wireless
Subwoofer is billed as offering CD quality sound (which is sufficient
for most of us) courtesy of a 250 watt Class D amplifier driving a
dynamic 10 bass driver and a 10 auxiliary bass radiator with audio
signals being transmitted wirelessly, and freed from interference,
thanks to HFADPCM wireless technology.
Finally, discriminating music and movie lovers can have a great
sounding subwoofer without having to fuss with wires and complicated
setup , commented Alec Chanin, President of KEF America who introduced
the KEF HTB2SE-W Wireless Subwoofer. With our new HTB2SE-W, the
end-user can be up and running in minutes without wires running across
their floor. Better yet, its unique design with vertical or horizontal
placement options, it can be placed almost anywhere in the listening
area. This sub is finally what the market has been waiting for.

Of course, you ll pay for the privilege of going wire-free, specifically
to the tune of a pretty steep $1,200, but if your loathing of trailing
cables snaking throughout a room is anywhere on par with my own you ll
more than likely see the HTB2SE-W as worth the outlay, especially if you
re intending to locate the device remotely (say, behind the sofa) just
for that all important extra kick.

The KEF HTB2SE-W Wireless Subwoofer is set to commence shipping from
October but, if you want to secure yours now, you can place an advanced
order directly with KEF to secure yourself one ahead of release.
