Windows 7 RTM Available for Download from August 6th OEMs and Beta Testers Get in Early

We already knew that Windows 7 RTM (Release to Manufacturing) has been
all dressed up which means that's it's almost ready to launch on October
22. What we didn't know was that independent software and hardware
vendors, MSDN-subscribed developers and IT Professionals are going to be
allowed to download Windows 7 RTM from Microsoft Connect or MSDN on
August 6th.

Other than these lucky guys, Microsoft Partner Program Gold/Certified
Members will also get their hands on Windows 7 via the Microsoft Partner
Network portal starting from August 16th. Last but not the least, Action
Pack Subscribers will get to download on August 23rd. MSFT have also
added that only the English version of the software will be ready to
download on the forementioned dates, and mentioned that the remaining
languages will become available from October 1st.

Microsoft has also been kind enough to announce that no matter what
reasons you have to still work on Windows 7 RC (Release Candidate),
those annoying reboots are not to be expected before March 1st, 2010,
when the software fully expires. So there's enough time to upgrade if
you like the way it runs on your machine.
