can't bear to part ways with them and move fully into the digital age?
What about all of those cassettes from the 80s? What if there was a way
for you to digitally archive your favorite old-school music that was
quick and painless? The consumer electronics manufacturer, TEAC, is
hoping to catch your eye with their latest multi-function audio device,
the TEAC LP-R550.
There isn't much information available yet outside of Japan on the new
LP-R550, but if we could hazard a guess it looks a lot like the older
model LP-R400 except that it now sports a cassette player as well. It
comes with a turntable, cassette player/recorder, a CD player/recorder
along with a PLL synthesized AM/FM stereo tuner. The CD portion supports
CD/CD-R/CD-RW and the 3-speed turntable supports 33(LP)/45(EP)/78(SP)
and has an auto return. It also comes with a remote control and has
built-in 3.5W x 2ch speakers.
The TEAC will hit the store shelves in Japan at the end of the month and
will retail for about $750.
