Point of View Launches Mobii ION 230 Netbooks Mobii ION 230 with NVIDIA Ion GPU and Atom N230 Processor

In an attempt to make the netbook a better performer, Point of View have
just announced that their Mobii ION 230 netbook is going to launch soon
with a single-core Atom N230 processor powered by NVIDIA's Ion platform.
Although pretty weird spec-ed given the Atom N230 which is usually a
nettop CPU, it's going to be interesting to see if the new Mobii is an
energy hog for the 6-cell 4,400mAh battery it comes built-in with.

Other than the above, the Mobii ION 230 netbook comes with a 10.2-inch
display that does max 1024 x 600 resolutions, brings along the typical
1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard-drive, has WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.0
connectivity and a gigabit ethernet port. However some of the most
interesting features are the Nvidia ION chipset that promises flawless
1080p playback, DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0 support, and the HDMI
port that allows you to connect to an external display or projector.

Available in black, lime (neon green) and red to make it stand out, the
new Point of View Mobii ION 230 netbook runs on Linux and is expected to
sell for some 350 Euro which translates to something just under $500.
