announced the Windows 7 ship date. It's before the end of the year, on
October 22. Originally slated for a Jan 2010 roll out, Windows 7 is
going to upgrade Vista and more to the story is going to feature an
upgrade services (Windows Upgrade Option) to help keep PC sales pumping
as the operating system's ship date nears.
Windows 7 is supposed to be a follow up to Windows Vista which many have
seen as a disappointment (low resource computer dudes?) by now. There
are no technical details yet, except for the fact that it's going to run
smoothly on PCs, Notebooks and Netbooks, just as well. It's going to be
available in six verions: the Starter Edition, Home Premium,
Professional, Enterprise, Ultimate, and Home Basic for developing markets.
Available just in time for the holiday season, we don't have a price for
Windows 7 yet.
