JVC GD-32X1 Full HD LCD Display GD-32X1 Ultra Slim 32" LCD HDTV

During CES in January, JVC presented a prototype for a super-thin and
super-light 32-inch Full HD LCD TV and now, in a newly circulated press
release, the company have just announced that their ultra slim JVC
GD-32X1 HDTV will begin selling in Japan from this August. At only 6.4mm
thick and weighing only 5.7kg, when the new GD-32X1 becomes available
it's going to be both the thinnest LCD display (with LG still working on
a 5.9mm panel) and the planet's lightest (for the time being at least).

Although relatively small at only 32-inches, the ultra-slim GD-32X1
boasts a pretty impressive 400cd/m2 brightness and a contrast ratio of
4,000:1 and a GENESSA Premium unique video engine that promises optimal
picture quality. With 2x HDMI, RGB, component and composite ports, the
monitor (which sports 1,920 x 1,080 resolution) is specifically being
targeted for business use (such as signage).

The JCV GD-32X1 will retail for the equivalent of $2,500 in Japan on
release, however, at this juncture there's no word from JVC concerning
whther the GD-32X1 will see a wider, international release.
