in the main, we've been somewhat muted in our enthusiasm - except in the
case of the QingBar MP101 and, of course, the fabulous(ly expensive)
R2D2 Projector - but perhaps this newly announced iJector Projector with
integrated iPod/iPhone Dock could buck the trend?
The short answer to the above question is 'no' (there, if you're in a
rush there's no need to read the rest of this post now). For those of
you who want us to qualify why the iJector iPod/iPhone friendly
projector don't impress me/us much (there's a song there, someplace)
we'll happily do so with the following sentence.
The iJector iPod/iPhone friendly projector's image is of less (yes,
less) resolution than the image on your iPod Touch/iPhone's display.
Disappointing, certainly, but not withstanding this small matter - that
being its laudably pathetic 557 x 234 resolution - the iJector projector
almost has a great deal going for it as it'll happily pump out amplified
stereo sound, it'll project images up to a diagonal size of 50 with
adequate brightness and its even a genuine 'Made for iPod' certified
device (meaning Apple profit).
So far so so-so (to coin a terrible phrase that'll probably serve as a
good EuroPop song title sometime in the future). But where the iJector
iPod/iPhone friendly projector really outdoes itself in terms of coming
across as eminently forgettable is in its pricing - the iJector will hit
the Japanese market next month for the equivalent of $670.
Forgotten it already, haven't you? Yup, thought so.
