How to Solve iPhone 3.0 Problems iPhone Activation Server Temporarily Unavailable

Today, Apple's servers proved helpless in front of a bunch of iPhone
owners who've been trying to upgrade their handset with the latest
iPhone OS 3.0 software. Thousands of users have been thwarted by Apple's
overloaded servers that returned an annoying iPhone activation server
is temporarily unavailable .

All these have happened due to the fact that there are simply too many
download requests happening at the same time, it looks like there's a
way to get past the error. First of all you'll have to make sure you've
upgraded to iTunes 8 before beginning your update. Then:

– Click on iTunes Store, then back to your phone in iTunes -
That's how Ben Parr at Mashable solved his problem

– Keep clicking ok on the popup error: some have confirmed that
if you annoy the iPhone enough it will install the 3.0 OS and will work
like a charm.

– Don't despair: demand will decrease and the servers will get to
breathe sooner or later.

– Ejecting and plugging back in : apparently Joe Tech and Business
Insider ejected their iPhones and managed to plug them back in without
losing any data. Although it's not recommended (you may not be that
lucky) it could get the upgrade problem solved.

Here are other iPhone 3.0 errors that you may experience while trying to
upgrade:

iPhone activation server unavailable
iPhone activation server down
iPhone activation server temporarily unavailable
We could not complete your itunes store request
