Sansa microSD card based digital player, namely the SanDisk Sansa
slotRadio - though we did (and we still do) question quite how appealing
this device will actually prove - and now we're just about to find out,
as it's release date has now officially been announced.
You can read more about what the SanDisk Sansa slotRadio has to offer by
clicking through to our initial post as linked above but, if you're just
after a brief synopsis it comes with a 1.5 OLED display and utilises
microSD cards to store your own music collections or you can buy cards
preloaded with music from certain genres from the Billboard charts
should you wish - though, from what we can gather, you won't actually be
able to pick and chose your own tracks (no, you'll get what you get, and
you'll be happy with it - or not).
We really (and I mean really) just cannot see the appeal, in any way,
whatsoever - not even in a blue moon (not that it is one) and this is
especially the case these days when we have become all the more
selective (finely tuned, rather?) about what we buy on a track by track
basis thanks to download stores such as iTunes, et al.
The SanDisk Sansa slotRadio will become available directly from
Sandisk's online portal from 31 March inclusive of a bundled microSD
card crammed full of 1,000 tracks you probably won't like at all
(bonus), and it'll be yours for just shy of $100.
Oh, and incidentally, do please let us know if you're considering a
purchase- as we're fairly sure that the Sansa slotRadio must/might/could
perhaps appeal to at least one of you and, in that event, we'd very much
like to know exactly why (help us understand/see the light).
