Samsung STORY Station External Hard Drive 1.5 Terabyte 3.5" Backup HDD

Samsung have released details concerning their new, curiously entitled
Samsung STORY Station external hard drive which boasts 1.5 terabytes of
storage capacity as well as aesthetics described by Samsung as offering
'passionate red lines against a high-tech brushed aluminum surface
with red cable ports' (Some PR bod at Samsung obviously took their full
compliment of vitamins prior to coming up with that, didn't they?)

Billed as being ideal for large volume data back up (talk about stating
the obvious) the Samsung STORY Station external hard drive comes with
enhanced security software such as Samsung's SafetyKey (offering
password protection) and Samsung's SecretZone which 'creates a virtual
drive which provides encryption for data security' as well as Auto
Backup software which offers real-time or scheduled backup facilities.

Interestingly, or not, depending on your viewpoint, Samsung also make
mention of the STORY Station HDD's eco credentials with the drive
purportedly being manufactured from (unspecified)
environmentally-friendly materials that comply with international
environmental standards such as RoHS as well as the drive's 'green
operation' which loosely translates into the drive coming with an
auto-standby mode that kicks in after five minutes of inactivity.

The 1.5 terabyte Samsung STORY Station external hard drive has a
European scheduled date of release for May but, as at the time of
writing, Samsung are yet to provide pricing details.
