Samsung Q320 & Samsung R522 16:9 Notebooks Tentatively Detailed

Hot on the heels of the previously featured Samsung N310 netbook,
Samsung have unveiled two new notebooks in the form of the Samsung Q320
and the R522 both of which come with Intel Centrino 2 processors under
the hood and which sport 13.4 and 15.6 16:9 aspect ratio displays
respectively.

Whilst detailed information concerning both the Samsung Q320 and the
R522 notebooks is a little on the light side, Samsung have confirmed
that the 13.4 Q320 comes with a Nvidia GeForce G105M GPU, a slot load
DVD drive (interestingly, considering its obvious leanings towards being
a multimedia entertainment notebook there's no Blu-ray in evidence) and
a six cell battery that offers an endurance of up to a purported 4.6
hours. Additionally the Q320 also comes with a SuperSilent Mode designed
to reduce fan noise for when, we assume, you're watching films, gaming, etc.
The 15.6 Samsung R522, which also features the aforementioned
SuperSilent Mode is barely detailed at all except for the fact that it
apparently comes with 'the latest medical technology' which includes a
keyboard finished with an anti-bacterial coating and that, thanks to its
larger size it manages to pack in four USB 2.0 ports (three times more
than offered by the smaller Q320) and well as a combo USB/eSATA port
(which also makes it onto the Q320).

As far as RAM, Wi-Fi, HDD and so forth are concerned Samsung have
remained tight-lipped with respect to both notebooks though Samsung have
at least confirmed that both the Q320 and the R522 notebooks are
scheduled for an April release but, at this stage, no pricing details
are in evidence.
