Samsung Q2 Portable Media Player Samsung YP-Q2 PMP

Whilst companies tend to shout news concerning new products from the
rooftops, Samsung have obviously decided that the introduction of their
new Q2 (specifically the YP-Q2) PMP really isn't worthy of any
particular fanfare.

Coming in 8GB and 16GB capacities, the Samsung Q2 PMP, which measures in
at 1.9 x 4 x 0.4 , sports a 2.4 QVGA (320 x 240 resolution) display,
touch sensitive backlit controls and supports FLAC, MP3, OGG, WMA audio
and MPEG-, WMV video file formats (as well as offering JPEG support)
but, if you're looking for Wi-Fi or, at the very least, Bluetooth
support you can forget it.

Perhaps, on reflection, we can understand why it is that Samsung decided
that they'd slip this particular PMP out somewhat quietly as, whilst in
undoubtedly looks good, it's nothing short of mediocre in terms of
specifications. And, as if to underpin this, the most interesting
feature about the Q2 would appear to be its endurance - a purported 50
hours of audio playback.

There's no word concerning specific availability or pricing at this
stage but, considering what's on offer here, we'd expect the Samsung Q2
to come at a suitably low price point.
