PQI Into X25-M Solid State Drive 2.5" SATAII Notebook SSD

Power Quotient International (PQI) have introduced their new 2.5 PQI
X25-M SATAII SSD which boasts an impressive range of features not least
of which is a purported maximum read speed of 250MB/s and a maximum
write speed of 70MB/s.
Utilising Intel MLC flash modules, the new 2.5 PQI X25-M SATAII SSD,
which is offered in both 80GB and 160GB capacities, is aimed
specifically at notebooks usage thanks not only to its considerable
resistance to shocks - the drive comes with a specific shock rating of
1500G and vibration resistance measured at 20G - but also on account of
its particularly low power consumption requirements which seems the PQI
X25-M solid state drive drawing just 0.15W when active and a mere
(decidedly impressive) 0.06W whilst in sleep mode. Or, to put matters
into perspective, users should see around 30% extra notebook endurance
(thanks to lesser power requirements) when compared to similar SSDs.

Add into the equation an equally impressive 0.85ms access time latency,
and there's no doubt that the PQI X25-M SATAII SSD bears serious
consideration for those looking to update their storage requirements
though, as at the time of writing, it has to be said we are yet to
ascertain unit pricing.
