docking station, namely the TEAC SR-2B, which, whilst hardly bringing
anything new to the table, may well appeal to those looking for an
iPod/iPhone dock for their bedside tables that purportedly offers video
out functionality - though it has to be said that the translation of the
official Japanese product page, as linked below, doesn't appear to
indicate any such video out connectivity (so we'll assume otherwise).
What we can gather from the translated Japanese product page, however,
is that the new TEAC SR-2B iPod iPhone Radio Alarm Clock Docking
Station comes with AM/FM radio tuner offering 10 and 20 station presets
respectively, multiple alarms - allowing you to set alarms independently
for, say, work days and weekends - as well as 2 x 4W stereo speakers and
a remote.
Notwithstanding the confusion concerning whether the TEAC SR-2B offers
TV connectivity or not (the official product site, as stated above,
certainly doesn't support this in terms of the docks specifications) its
not a particularly inspiring dock, it has to be said, though in terms of
pricing its reasonably priced at the equivalent of around $151.
Personally, I'd be looking elsewhere (see our related posts below for
alternatives), but each to their own.
