HALO Stereo Bluetooth Headset at CTIA, the former being a somewhat more
rudimentary version of the Jabra SP700 Bluetooth Speakerphone released
last year whilst the HALO headset features Jabra's Blackout technology
and dual microphones.
The Jabra HALO Bluetooth Headset touts A2DP stereo Bluetooth protocol
and have been designed for telephony (inc. VoiP,) use as well as serving
as a wireless headset for use with Stereo Bluetooth DAPs and PMPs and,
apart from coming with Zirene Power Bass technology and the option of
using a wired 3.5mm connection (thus enabling it to play pall with
non-Bluetooth enabled devices as well as with computers) also comes
complete with a handy feature that will automatically fade out any music
playing in the event of receiving a call.
The Jabra SP200 Bluetooth Speakerphone, which is billed as offering 'a
credit crunch-friendly price point', is aimed at in-car use as well as
home based hands free conference calling, and comes with DSP technology
to reduce the impact of background noise, auto-pairing with Bluetooth
cell phones and, in terms of endurance, offers a purported standby time
of 23 days and a talktime of up to 10 hours. As you'd expect for a
device touted as being 'credit crunch-friendly' that's about your lot.
The Jabra HALO Bluetooth Headset is set to ship as of May and will set
you back just shy of $130 whilst the Jabra SP200 Bluetooth Speakerphone
will ship from April and will set you back around $60.
