Dell 2nd Gen Latitude E6400 XFR Fully Rugged Laptop Sports Ballistic Armor Protection System

Dell have introduced the second generation version of their Latitude
E6400 XFR fully rugged laptop which boasts a 'Ballistic Armor Protection
System' casing fabricated from a material exclusive to Dell, and named
merely as 'PR481′, which is purportedly used in military
applications and which offers twice the impact strength of magnesium
alloy, 25% higher drop specification and enhanced structural stability
at extreme temperatures.

Offering MIL-STD 810F level resistance to heat, vibration and dust, the
2nd Gen Dell Latitude E6400 XFR, which is 15% slimmer and 5% lighter
than the 1st Gen XFR, comes with a 14.1 WXGVA (1280 x 800 resolution)
sunlight readable display, Intel Core 2 Duo CPU (up to 2.2GHz T7500), up
to 4GB DDR SDRAM (thermally enhanced), a shock mounted 1.8 80GB HDD or
optional SSD (up to 64GB), Intel X3100 graphics, 10/100/1000 gigabit
Ethernet, Wi-Fi (including Draft-N), Bluetooth 2.1 EDR and a veritable
host of modular options.

Whilst Dell are yet to offer specific pricing concerning the 2nd Gen
Latitude E6400 XFR fully rugged laptop at this stage, pricing is
rumoured to start at around the $4,300 mark.
