touchscreen 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 powered Lluon Mobit MID (Mobile
Internet Device) to the Korean market subsequent to it first being
previewed back in December.
Running Windows XP Home the TriGem/Averatec Lluon Mobit MID, apart from
boasting a 4.8' 1024 x 600 resolution touchscreen, comes with integrated
Intel GMA 500 graphics, 1GB of RAM, either a 30GB hard drive or a 16GB
solid state drive, integrated 802.11b/g wireless (as well as WiBro - see
below) and Bluetooth connectivity, a built-in 2 megapixel camera and
both miniUSB and standard USB 2.0 ports.
The TriGem/Averatec Lluon Mobit Mobile Internet Device, which measures
6.5″ x 3.5″ x 0.8″ and weighs in at a mere 13.2
ounces, is available for the equivalent of $577 though its can also be
picked up for the equivalent of $504 if purchased with an 18 month
subscription to the WiBro link allowing access to Korea's mobile
broadband data network.
There is, at the time of writing, no word as to whether the Lluon Mobit
will be distributed outside of Korea any time in the future.
