TomTom GO 740 Live Connected GPS Navigation

The GO 740 Live is the latest model out of the TomTom stable of portable
navigation devices. The GO 740 receives information via a built-in SIM
card and a GPRS modem. The information features include real-time
traffic information updated every two-five minutes; local search powered
by Google; fuel-price information, weather updates, QuickGPSfix for
faster connectivity to satellites, and TomTom Buddies which lets you
share information with friends.


Voice Recognition with more than 130 commands and Map Share are two
important features of GO 740 Live. Optimal Routing is a feature that
enables you reach your destination via the most efficient routes. It
makes use of the IQ Routes Technology which has historical travel data
covering more than 1.8 trillion miles of roads in the US; the data
offers insight on traffic conditions for not only days of the week but
also by the time of day. The IQ Routes Technology works in tandem with
the real-time traffic feeds to offer users the best alternatives for
arriving at a destination in quick time.

The device features a 4.3-inch touch screen with a 480×272 pixel
resolution. Its dimensions are 3.4 inches X 5 inches X 0.9 inch. It
weighs 7.9 ounces.
