Samsung Intro S3500 Entry Level Slider Cell Phone [Simple, Capable Handset]

Having covered a number of higher range cell phones in the past week
(see our QuikBrowsr if you need to catch up) the new Samsung S3500 cell
phone, with its undoubted entry level status, may seem somewhat dull
but, for those happy to have a cell phone simply to make calls (as well
as browse the net, and offer DAP capabilities) the Samsung S3500 may
well prove hard to ignore.

The Samsung S3500, which is not an especially unattractive device with
its simple, clean lines, comes in slider format, offers Quad-band
GSM/EDGE connectivity (specifically 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz), comes
with a QVGA 262K color display, integrated DAP capabilities paired with
built-in FM tuner, a 2 megapixel camera, integrated WAP browser and
email, Bluetooth and USB connectivity and 35MB of internal storage
capacity (which can be supplemented with MicroSD cards).

There’s no word concerning the Samsung S3500’s pricing at
the time of writing, but we expect it to come in on the low side in
order to attract those that are happy to have a cell phone that foregoes
all the bells and whistles of higher specified handsets and we can
confirm that the S3500 has gained FCC approval hinting at North American
availability.
