Polaroid PoGo Instant Digital Camera With In-Built Printer

Polaroid has brought back those fun days of pre-digital era Polaroid
film cameras. The company has launched the Polaroid PoGo instant digital
camera. The camera comes with an integrated printer that lets you print
images once you’ve shot and cropped them.

The 5-megapixel camera and printer combined means that the device is
slightly bigger in size than what you would normally expect from a
point-and-shoot camera. It weighs 10 ounces on an empty stomach, i.e
without any paper, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and SD card.
It’s dimensions are 4.7-inch X 3-inch X 1.3-inch. A 3-inch LCD
lets you size up your target nicely before you shoot the image and a 4X
digital zoom helps in bringing objects closer. However, an optical zoom
is conspicuous by its absence.

At one time the camera can hold 10 sheets of Polaroid Zink 2-by-3 inch
paper. One stack of 10 sheets will cost $4.99.

The camera is expected to be available in Spring 2009, it will retail
for $199. You can print up to 20 photos on a single recharge. A print
takes around 40 seconds and you can choose from 9 borders to frame the
image.
