Nokia N79 Active with Wireless Polar Bluetooth WearLink Heart Monitor

Nokia's new, sportier variation of the N79 handset, known as the Nokia
N79 Active, is aimed - as its title suggests - specifically at the
health conscious, the health obsessed or the plain neurotic in being
bundled with Polar Bluetooth WearLink heart rate monitor allowing you to
keep tabs on your pulse rate as you exercise, sit in front of the TV or
have a coronary (or, perhaps, just to assist you in ensuring that you
don't overdo it in reaching for that next cool beer).

Based on the original Nokia N79 cell phe, its specifications, apart from
coming with the aforementioned Polar Bluetooth WearLink heart rate
monitor remain wholly unchanged in offering a 5 megapixel camera with
Carl Zeiss lens, integrated GPS and FM tuner and 3G connectivity though,
in fairness, you will get sport sytled headphones (probably crap), and
an armband bundled in for good measure as well as a 4GB microSD card.

In terms of the additional functionality on offer over the plain vanilla
N79, the N79 Active candybar, thanks to the Polar Bluetooth WearLink
heart rate monitor, will allow you to keep tabs on your exercise regime
and, thanks to integration with the phone's inbuilt aGPS can help you
'plot your route' via the included apparently updated Sports Tracker
application.

Set to become available in 'selected markets' the Nokia N79 Active will
purportably retail at around the 375/$490 price point.
