LaCie LaCinema Classic Hard Disk HDMI, 1080p Upscaling Multimedia HDD

Following on from news concerning the new LaCie’s Hard Disk Max
which, just like this HDD comes with Neil Poulton minimalist styling,
LaCie have just announced their new LaCie LaCinema Classic hard disk
which, as the name would suggest, has been developed specifically for
serving multimedia content.

Coming complete with HDMI as well as USB connectivity, the LaCie
LaCinema Classic comes in either 500GB or 1TB capacities and apart from
supporting a range of multimedia file formats (such as DivX, XviD, JPEG
and MP3) also offers integrated 1080p HD upscaling capabilities allowing
you to view HD content directly on your HDTV via the drive.

The 500GB capacity LaCie LaCinema Classic HDD will set you back just shy
of $170 whilst the 1TB is yet to be officially priced. Both should be
available soon.
