Haier Ibiza Theatre Touchscreen Digital Audio/Video Player

Haier have announced a new model in its Ibiza line-up of DAPs in the
form of the Ibiza Theatre which, apart from looking like a somewhat
lacklustre iPod Touch wannabe is actually a fairly capable digital audio
player considering its highly competitive price point.

The Haier Ibiza Theatre DAP comes with a 2.4' 320 x 240 resolution
touchscreen (that appears to be a little uncomfortably proportioned) and
apart from offering MP3, WMA and Audible audio file format support will
also happily play ball with MPEG-4 and AVI video formats whilst
additionally offering an integrated FM tuner. Additionally the device
also supports Rhapsody to Go and offers Bluetooth wireless connectivity.

Offering a purported battery life of up to 30 hours (audio), where the
Haier Ibiza Theatre positively excels is, as mentioned previously, its
pricing with the 8GB capacity variant coming in at just shy of $110
whilst the 16GB capacity Ibiza Theatre will set you back a decidedly
reasonable $130.

Both the 8GB and 16GB capacity Haier Ibiza Theatre digital audio players
are set for release in Q2 of this year (no specific dates provided).
