PIXMA printers aimed specifically at home office professionals and SOHO
setups - namely the Canon PIXMA MX330 and PIXMA MX860.
Offering printing, scanning, copying and faxing in a single unified
device (as if you didn’t know what an all-in-one printer is?) the
Canon PIXMA MX330 9pictured above) and PIXMA MX860 (pictured below)
offer printing resolutions up to 4800 x 2400 and 9600 x 2400
respectively whilst both sporting inbuilt TFT color displays -
1.8″ (MX330) and 2.5″ (MX860) - to allow for stand alone
operation (sans PC involvement) as and when required whilst the upper
range MX860 also boasts Wireless LAN (802.11b/g) capabilities as well as
integrated Ethernet network connectivity.
‘With the emergence of the home office, having a product that can
perform many different tasks is essential,’ said Yuichi Ishizuka,
senior vice president and general manager, Consumer Imaging Group, Canon
U.S.A, who introduced the two new PIXMA AIO printers. ‘These two
new Office AIO printers provide the consumer with the comfort of knowing
all of their business and personal printing needs can be done from their
home.’
Canon are yet to offer specific shipping dates concerning either of its
new PIXMA AIO printers though it has confirmed that the PIXMA MX330 will
retail for around $110 whilst the network capable PIXMA MX860 will set
you back just shy of $200.
