Virgin Mobile Set To Launch 3G Shuttle EV-DO Cell Phone

Shuttles make us think of fast, crazy rides, transportation and the wide
open galaxies of space our mind is opened to endless possibilites and
excitement. No wonder they’ve named this cellphone the Shuttle and
who should be better to launch this baby than Virgin!

Virgin's Shuttle will be the first Virgin Mobile phone to feature EV-DO
connectivity while still supplying standard features such as a 1.3
megapixel camera, 2 inch display, video capture capability, built-in
video player, Bluetooth and the obvious SD memory card slot for all the
storage requirements that we have come to need with phones of this stature.

The Virgin Shuttle has been designed for those who live for the internet
and multimedia but who don't necessarily want to be strapped and bound
to a contract. The phone will be available from the 28th of September
and you can expect to pay $5 for a 20MB package or $10 for a 50MB
package. The pay-as-you-go option is obviously great for those unsure of
their data needs - giving you the freedom to recharge when and as you
please.

The Shuttle will also be the first Virgin phone to offer increased
accessibility to various social networking sites such as Facebook,
Myspace, Accuweather, ESPN, YouTube and Yahoo. Not only this, but Virgin
in conjunction with uLocate will offer location-based services such as
Buddy Beacon which will find your friend in a crowded city; showing you
where they are and what they might be up to (so much for privacy!).

All in all this Shuttle looks like it will Take Off nicely and I can't
wait for it's launch date.
