Verbatim Intro New Quad Interface External Desktop Hard Drive Range

Verbatim have acted quickly to intro a new range of external hard drive
units, seemingly merely known as 'Desktop Hard Drives', which come in
four specific types in terms of connectivity - namely USB, FireWire/USB,
USB/eSATA and USB/eSATA RAID - and which offer storage capacities
ranging from 500GB to 1TB or 2TB in relation to the larger USB/eSATA
RAID 2-Disk model.

‘Our new 500GB and 1TB Desktop HDDs offer many advantages for
editing and storing high-density applications, compared to using two or
three smaller HDDs,’ said Charles Klinker, Verbatim Director of
Marketing for HDD products. ‘For example, a single Verbatim 1TB
solution only costs about 25 cents per GB and consumes less power than
multiple lower-capacity HDDs. It also provides the convenience of being
able to store, transport and backup all of your digital content without
having to span disks.’

Verbatim's new external HDD range is compatible with Windows and Mac OS
X based setups with Windows being supported by the bundled Nero BackItUp
2 Essentials backup software application and are now retailing as of now
from $180 for the 500GB capacity models or $250 for the 1TB capacity drives.
