Samsung To Intro World’s Slimmest LED HDTVs at CES Samsung Takes Fight to Sony

Whilst at the time of writing details are rather scant, Samsung has
confirmed that it is poised to unveil what it proudly boasts is the
world's slimmest range of LED HDTV units at this years CES event.

The new range of ultra slim Samsung LED HDTVs, all of which utilise
Samsung's Mition Plus (240Hz) technology, will purportedly range in
screen size from 40' through to 55' and will, if initial reports are to
be believed, measure in at a mere 6.5mm in thickness thanks to employing
Samsung's new backlight technology. Interestingly Sony's latest foray
into ultra slim HDTV units has only managed to reduce thickness to a
still not unimpressive 9.9mm (more than 3mm thicker than Samsungs new
yet to be fully specified range).

We await the official unveiling, and further information concerning the
new HDTV's specifications, with great interest and will endeavour to
bring you an update the moment Samsung release full technical
specifications.
